    Hi Folks

A friend of mine has a disability which is increasing as he gets older. He lives by himself and now finding it increasingly difficult to do general DIY around that house.

Could someone suggest how to go about finding a good reliable handyman to carry out the odd DIY jobs around the house, every now and again?

Thanks in advance for your responses.

Hi, I think word-of-mouth is the only way to go. If a local trader has done right by someone else you know, then they will probably do right by you too. Local reputation is everything and trumps any form of 'trusted trader' type website.
