Apparently Lenders are now starting to write off BBL's following a Government initiative to get moving on clearing the "zombie" companies held on the Companies House Records. I assume the Government block has been or is about to be lifted.

Anybody received one of the letters from their BBL lender yet advising of BBL write off/release?

From Mr Bounce Back (Aka Mike Graig)

"BREAKING: My Big Bounce Back Loan Write-Off Strategy has been approved and adopted by HM Government as of 14:17 on the 23rd of June 2026, as too has the Strike-Off Unblocking Mechanism. As such if you have a BBL you couldn’t afford to repay and you never did, (which you never blagged in the first place), it is going to be written off and any strike-off you apply for will no longer be blocked due solely to there being an unpaid BBL associated with that LTD Company"

Is there a reference for that? Not for the quote but for the decision?

If you knew you couldn't pay it, that is, surely, the definition of blagging!
Possibly not. New business, allowed to claim based on estimated earnings, genuinely calculated, then the business never recovered, so couldn't pay when the pay-free period expired.
