Northern Ireland Company Knocks Out UK Competition

On the 19th of March, Belfast based, Barclay Communications won Business To Business Dealer at the prestigious Mobile News Awards in London, becoming the first Northern Ireland company to receive the award.

With only 12 years in the telecommunications industry, Barclay Communications are thrilled that they have been recognised at one of the industry’s top awards. Managing Director of Barclay Communications Britt Megahey had this to say:

“I want to congratulate the 150 members of the Barclay Communications’ team. This award is a significant achievement for us all and I am delighted that we are being recognised as a leader in such a competitive marketplace. From the beginning we have worked on providing our customers with the right mobilisation solution for their needs, that increases productivity and reduces overheads.”

The Mobile News Awards are now in their 15th Year. Each category is fought over by mobile manufacturers, networks, dealers, distributors and service providers; such as Nokia, Samsung, O2 and Carphone Warehouse; throw in the celebrity presenters and this is the mobile industry awards to be seen at and to win.

Barclay Communications placed their product range, IT support, customer service, after sales support, sales technique and staff training up for critical examination by the Mobile News judges. By winning the award, Barclay Communications can confidently say that they excel in all these areas and provide their customers with a complete service, unmatched by any other UK telecommunications company.

Britt Megahey believes they are successful because:

“The team work on meeting our customer’s needs, as they change and progress, we have developed more services, offered more support and provided more solutions.”

Trading throughout the UK, Barclay Communications have achieved many industry partnerships: Orange Business Specialists, the only TomTom WORK partner in Ireland and an O2 Advanced Partnership.

Maggie Kennedy, Head of O2 partnerships, fully supports Barclay Communication and praises their customer focus:

“By identifying their customer needs they provide a real differential in a crowded market place, turning customers into fans!”

Barclay Communications provide a complete communications package. Offering their customers mobile, landline, broadband, mobilisation solutions, e-business service, Fleet management and IT support all from one place: Delivered by a team of experts and an excellent customer service department.

Barclay Communications once again prove that Northern Ireland has the entrepreneurship and clout to compete with the best in the tough UK telecommunications Industry. Fresh from their Deliotte 50 Fastest Growing Company ranking and now a Mobile News Business To Business Dealer award winner; Barclay Communications are proving they are the ones to watch in 2009.
