Are there any decent drop shipping companies?

I can't find one which you do not have to pay a fee to sign up for and is based in the UK which actually has good deals.

I have found a really good company but they are based in china.

its called chinavasion they dont charge you to sighnup and they will post direct to your customer.

Theres no sighn up fee all you do is advertise the product pay chinavasion plus postage.

Postage is only the weight

sent to your customer

you keep the profit

Basicly, you sell their goods without you stocking them, when you get a sale the drop shipper sends the item usually in a plain package so the customer assumes it's come from you direct.

For example:

I run an online store, but do not want to have stock.

So I use a company which will deliver directly to my customers at a wholesale price and I will sell it on my website for the RRP. I keep the profit.

The drop shipping company delivers it to my customer in un-branded packaging.

99% of all distributors/manufacturers will despatch direct to customer but the word 'drop shipping' is dirty. They won't advertise the fact, but call them, talk through what you wan to do and what you hope to achieve and they should be able help.

I already run 2 websites selling online drum lessons, my own drum lessons on DVD's and my new huge 316 page drum book (course).

I'm looking to sell musical products i.e. drum kits, guitars etc.. but every drop shipping company i find want money up front, i'm happy to pay a monthly fee if it works but for all i know i may end up not selling anything and then make a loss.

The huge problem i see is that as a potential client i cannot view/see any purchase prices to then calculate possible selling prices to see if its a viable business - obviously these companies are middlemen asking for a one off fee then giving you access to the actual drop shipping company - i want to get through them and find a quality drop shipping company myself - i can't go down the road of wholesalers as i have next to nothing in the bank - hence trying to add possible sales streams to my websites.

Suggestions would be more than welcome.

Yeah we are using the same company and its perfect not pretty expensive and post directly to the customers.

I suppose it depends very much on what you want to sell - or more to the point what you want drop shipping - we use dropshippers for various products which are too heavy/bulky for us to handle, then again, we are also used a dropshippers for our trade customers who retail our brand - we don't charge a monthly fee, and we have never paid one either.

We deal with major distributors or manufacturers, who are in the main happy to drop ship, and if they are not happy (only had one who wasn't happy about it in 12 years) then we simply don't offer their products!

Talk to the people who make/distribute and see what they say, its how we started, everything in years 1 and 2 was drop shipped!
