Yes, I had 16 years of such occasional nights with a 'child's' illnesses - thankfully, my child could spell better than his Junior School Teacher lol. He ended up teaching English to Military Officers in China and Arab Gulf. On return to Britain, after 9 years abroad, to base his business headquarters here, he found that (most sadly) many of his school class members were either dead, in prison or permanently un-employed and still unable to spell, read or write well. He is now aged 31. Again, sad.

Again, it is sad - the ones deceased, passed away due to drug abuse.
However, it will be a while until red-tape and company registration complexities are sorted, then he will contact you regarding his humble offer of participation in Placements for "Education & Training" plus "On-the-Job Training to suit "Un-Employed" individuals from whatever location throughout Wales which they originate. He is also an experienced Trainer. Twitter: @SPA_UK

I'm in Cardiff, been on the forums for a couple of years but haven't had any time spare in the last few months.

I think a lot of members on here are see this as a way to promote their business and the nationwide forums get the most exposure.

Does seem that Wales is quieter than the other forums though. We're meant to be good at talking!
Yes, although 'talking' and typing is really not the same - we Welsh prefer to look someone in the eye during discussions surely?

Hi there

I'm Sian I am new to this business forum, recently started new business in RCT in holitic treatments and a fellow user recomended the site for general business info.

I'm considering some of these network meetings but there are so many to choose from a little lost.

Have started going to Women's entreprenueruship scheme in Glamorgan Uni and met a couple of people.

How are people finding the forum any tips or hints on getting the best out of membership?

I'm now looking to expand my business and look at linking in with local businesses and trying to get some subsidies for certain activities. No idea where to start!.

Look forward to speaking to others soon.

Sian :)

Welcome to the forums Sian. Best tip I can give you with regards to the forums is to get involved and help out where you can.

Lots of networking available in South Wales from 4Networking to BNI to South Wales Business Network etc you need to find the one thats right for you and your business.

Always happy to have a chat and support new businesses.

Jim

Hi Guys, just thought I would introduce myself. I'm new to these forums. I have a couple of companies and we're based in Bridgend. Tondu actually. So, um, other than a shameless plug (which I won't do) that's me.
Hello!

Hi Dean,

Did you happen to go to Maesteg Comp by any chance?.. and do you happen to be an architect?

Has anyone attended any networking events in Cardiff? If so, were they any good? Did you get any work from them?

I've never been to one but am thinking of going to a few different ones and see what they're like.

We've tried a few including 4Networking, BNI, BusinessScene, South Wales Biz Network etc etc and all are good in their own way but you need to find the ones that are right for you. When we were just setting up 4N was ideal, but now we find BNI, Southwales Biz Network and Bridgend Business Breakfast are the ones that work for us. Business Scene is good as well as it pulls all the networking groups together. My best advice is to try as many as you can to find the ones right for you.
