Zhejiang is not really northern China:p,it's eastern China. That's where I am from. But usually I live in Shanghai more.Certainly, it is more north compared to where Shenzhen is located in China. Good luck!

Hi Tee, all depends when your coming. Im in Guangzhou, 1 hour or so from Shenzhen. I know the area well, from SZ-Dongguan-Foshan. Ive been here nearly 8 years, from Sheffield originally.

If the Tee stands for golf, theres loads of that here too.

    Hi Paul,

So what's your primary business in China? And do you go up as far as Xiamen?

i think if you google me my website will come up, not sure of the rules on this site, so dont want to get blocked for putting addresses on etc. But yes, i go upto Xiamen for stone. I tried marble from there, but had a nightmare. I kinda stick to what i know these days. But if you ever needed help, there is a great network here of expats doing various products.

    Where are you in UK.

    We're in sunny Essex:)

We currently import garments from Guangzhou, Xiamen and Shanghai.

I may be in Guangzhou for the Canton Fair in October-If I am, I'll let you know and maybe we could meet for beer.

Ok Mister B, its a busy time for me, i think yours is the 3rd phase so it wont be too busy for me then, my clients come 1st and 2nd phase.
Garments is really not my line. But i have a very good friend, Manchester guy. He does quite a lot of this for C&A and stores like that. He could be good for you to meet. Let me have some details and i'll pass the info on for you.
Some good bars here these days. so a beer is always ok.

Thanks for all the replies guys but I'm back now! Amazing trip, loved it out there, and looks like business will be good so we're hopefully going back around xmas time..

Just need to finalise a few things back here now - trying to find a good courier who deal with bulky items within the UK and also a company I can use to ship bulky goods to Europe so if anyone has any good links let me know! Thanks in advance
