    Hello all

Just a very general question - not even 100% that it sits within GDPR.

So..A client supplies order data to outsourced distributor through a secure API. The address detail supplied (end user) is incorrect / invalid. Can the distributors update their database with the correct address details, directly in order to despatch the order? Assume that this would be fine assuming notice given to client?

    Many Thanks
    BT

Yes. providing you have an agreement between you (as the data controller) and the distributor (as a data processor) that they may do so. You should also write into the agreement that they communicate any such changes to you without delay (and vice versa) so that the data is kept up to date. Keeping data timely and accurate is one of the key principles of GDPR.
