Hi

I dont no quite what this is and dont no if i have an Alexa ranking i dont know really what it is?

Can somebody tell me if its needed and how do i get one

Install the toolbar and ranking is displayed at the bottom right hand side of your browser at all times. Alexa provides stats such as Pageviews, Pageviews/User, Search Engine Traffic %...

Alexa provides stats based on surfing behaviour of those with the Alexa toolbar installed. Because this is such a small proportion of internet users, the results are often meaningless.

Plus you can manipulate your Alexa ranking simply by visiting your site more often.

The ranking is just an indication of the popularity of your site. It doesn't have any effect on you.

If you want to increase your Alexa traffic rank, try offering the toolbar (Alexa 'Sparky') as a free download on your website.

The more of your web visitors using sparky, the better your rank will be.

The Alexa Rank is a ranking system which bases its ranking schema on the level of traffic each website receives from the number of people who visit a website with the Alexa toolbar installed. As most of the internet users don't use alexa toolbar so it does not provide proper trfic details. And from My Experience it is useless.
