Advetising A leaflet distribution business

Hi I run a leaflet distribution nbusiness in the east midlands. We hve distributed to businesses in the area our services but we are looking for other ways to promote the business as sometimes the leaflets are being picked up by the receptionists who sometimes fail to pass them on.
We distribute business to business for many companies and they seem to get good results but when it comes to the advertising for ourselves the results aren't always as fruitful as we had hoped.
Can anyone help me. We have had our website tweaked with all the tips given by an seo but even our website dosen't always come up on google.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Have you considered the following?

1. Email campaign?

2. Facebook marketing

3. Linkedin ( Impression based marketing)

4. Google adwords / PPC campaign ?

Organic SEO can be complex and slow. A one time effort is not so productive for SEO.

5. Have you exchanged banners?

6. Have you contacted the local Businesslink office, they connect with local business people who are launching business and may need your help?

I can suggest several simple approaches but end of the day , you either need to have a marketing plan ( reviewed periodically) or you need a professional / expert guidance. There are lot of people who may offer to help you for a hands-on advice for nothing in return or a small compensation.

Get on the phone! Call the companies and tell them what you do. Ask what they need from a company such as yours. I have always found that if you ask for help, people will always try to give it!
