£5000 to invest / trade etc

Hi

This is my second post on this forum , as previously mentioned i have £5000 in saving which i want to invest in Barber shop business or letting agent. Most of the people suggested me to stay away from letting business as it has very tight margin and more effort.

Well i forgot to say previously i regular visit to DUBAI & PAKISTAN, which are home town, Is there any thing you guys can suggest me if i could buy anything from UK and sell it to these countries or buy from there and sell it in the UK.

I hope you understand what im trying to say.

Honestly, 5k isn't a lot of money in business and the way you are talking I can see it disappear in next to no time with whatever venture you decide to choose with little return.
Save it for a rainy day or until you find something you are passionate enough about to start a business in.
Don't flitter it away just because you can.

5k would buy you, just one marketing campaign of any worth, so why should anyone want to take it from you? Tis a mere drop in the ocean - you would be better taking the money, buying something and then selling it for a greater profit.

You won't be making much money if you buy from here and sell in Pakistan.

What are your skills? Would it not be best to set up your own business with very little costs and sell your services, and then expand. Build it up from nothing and if you put the work in then you will be rewarded.

You may be able to find a friendly Nigerian who will take your £5000 as a processing fee for £10 million that a distant relative left you in their will they will only want a 5% commision for it too so you'll end up getting £9.5 million

I don`t mean to be rude but you need some clear ideas and direction. In one breath, you are mentioning a barbers or lettings biz and the next talking about business that would work in your home nations - UK and vice versa?

As mentioned already, £5k isn`t a huge amount of cash however it can certainly be used wisely for online investment and development if you wanted to go down that route. But you do need to do some research and look at market trends.

I think business should go from the other end - not: I have got some money that I want to spend; but: I have got a great idea, which I have planned and researched - where do I get some money?
I would suggest forgetting about the money at the moment and see what business can you start - if any at all.
