Yes, I had thought about a US bank account, currently we leave the conversion to £ to paypal but the exchange rate is not good.

Just to add to Alpha's comments about actions... you should also put a target completion date against each action if you want them to be done in a reasaonable timescale !
To reasons really..
A. To work hard for my benefit rather than for some faceless shareholders who have far too much money already
B. To enable me to spend more time with my son.

In the UK it would be the sending banks responsibility to prove that they had sent the payment by one of the clearing methods (BACS or CHAPS). It would then be up to clearing system operators to sort the dispute out.
