How to find leads for technical support and PC support ?

Hello Everyone,

We have a genuine tech support business, our technicians are available on our toll free numbers along with a field team of technicians.

I was just wondering if there is any way to buy leads or data sets for people looking for our services?

Any information will be of immense help.

First of all, you have to be more specific. Tech support is wide area, it can mean anything from PL/SQL coding to "why-does-my-screen-go-blink". The more you focus, the higher the conversion rate will probably be and less chance you'll get sold the phonebook with a 10000% markup.

Secondly, there's plently of lead generation companies and we've worked with some for some clients but that was in finance and every lead was an arm and a leg so it might not be optimal. You might just try getting in touch with other companies who would outsource their IT support to you, like web design companies or small software companies who are run by developers and aren't that good at explaning to people that it needs to be **** plugged in to work.

Hello,
Thank you for the insights. We provide over the phone support to consumers and small businesses for PC issues (hardware/Software), network setup and issue resolutions and any OS related problems ,along with fixing issues with mobile OS.
Would it be possible for you to suggest few lead generation companies, I suppose its worth looking at it for a small sample.

The lead generation companies we worked with were charging £300 to £800 a lead and even with a 100% conversion, you'd still be taken.

If it's small businesses you're after, I can just send you 500 or so for free and you can test the cold-calling waters yourself. Just, you know, take it as a favour from one random guy off the internet to another random guy off the internet and don't mention us because nobody likes to get cold called.

Cold calling - good luck with that (sure you have better things to do with your life).

Are you just looking for names of companies that might need IT support? - I doubt emailing / cold calling will get you anywhere. Let us know how you get on though - as it'll be interesting to see what converts and what doesnt

I will have to disagree, cold calling success depends how you approach it, and if the company do need a solution also who you speak too.

Although personally I would send a letter advertising a free audit, see if they take that up and then you can go from there.
