I purchased some VIP football tickets for our Account Managers and our clients and wondered if I could claim the input VAT. Also my client stated that they would pay for their share in cost which I have to Invoice them. Do I have to apply output tax as part of ongoing service?

    Would appreciate anyone's help here.

VAT on entertainment cannot be reclaimed. You can reclaim the VAT you charge to your client though.

Interesting, as an example half the tickets for client:

Total ticket cost £120 inc. vat, I can reclaim (input tax) of £10 because I charge my client £50 plus vat £10 output tax. Is that what you mean?
