Do I need a custom clearance agent?

Hi,

I'm about to import a shipment worths ~£3000 by air.
Do I need a custom clearance agent, or will it be cleared off on site and I will be notified the amount of duties needs to be paid?

Hi,

Assuming it's coming via a freight forwarder or even a courier for that matter, they will handle the customs clearance for you. They will normally get in touch to request any information they might need. Make sure you have an EORI number from HMRC.
