I am just starting up a partnership with my friend but we're a bit unsure what tax we will need to pay.
We both work full time at the moment and can't afford to quit our jobs yet so the partnership will be on top of our jobs for now.
We are planning on contacting hmrc but can anyone give me an idea what we would pay?
Would we take the profits from the partnership and pay tax on that separate to our individual income tax or perhaps halve the profits from the partnership and each add that to our individual income tax?
We are not planning on taking a wage from the partnership but i suppose this doesn't make any difference to what we are taxed.
Any help on this would be great.
Thanks,
Emily
