Hi There,

Im thinking about using Royal Mails SmartStamp for my online business but i just wanted to know if any of you guys use it and how good it is. I basically send out letters and big parcels, does it save a lot of hassle and time?

If anyone can explain more about it to me and give me some comments on it i would be greatful.

Also do they except Solo card?

Thanks,

Callum

We use Royal Mail SmartStamp (www.smartstamp.co.uk) as it is cheaper than franking machines and gives a better quality print.

The number of items we send through the post is fairly low - I don't know whether this would make any difference.

You need to buy good quality postal scales to use with it e.g. Maul.

We've been using SmartStamp since its launch. We dont use it on a day-to-day basis just when we have a mailshot to send out (1,000 - 10,000 items). It saves a lot of time when doing mailshots because you can print the address and stamp straight on to the envelopes. You can also print your logo on the envelope aswell.

We use it for circlehosting and have found it to be really good.

It allows you to look more professional with a stamp printed directly onto an envelope.

As for accepting solo I am not sure just check the website and there customer support is quite good as well.

Thanks everyone,

Ive signed up to it and started to use SmartStamp, i have to say its a lot easier and your letters and parcels look a lot more professional. I've just ordered a nice set of digital weighing scales so i will be all ready to go!

Cheers

As of April 2006 Royal Mail are hopefully going to start delivering mail by size rather than weight. Which should save money when sending things first class, but may cost a little more when posting second class.
