New customer leads

Please can anyone help me with the development of my business of parcel courier in North Lincolnshire.I operate a courier business in Scunthorpe within DN15, DN18 and DN20 post codes.

Will need help to attract more customers in this region to patronise my business and am ready to pay adequately for this service

how do you currently attract business? have you got a website? have you got flyers? do you cold call and network? Need to know what you are doing so we can suggest what else you might do.

I currently have a presence on the franchisor's website and loads of flyers distributed on daily bases, in addition to cold calls. There is still bigger need for a direct sales help through networking groups and person to person.

I'd say do some door knocking when your in an industrial area, Make sure you have some leaflets with you too.

Its on fastwaycouriers website, im only a CF in our area North Lincolnshire & Hull. It is doubtful if any change will be welcomed to the rules of the network, but i am permitted to do anything possible to attract new customers, anyway.

Don't want to douse your enthusiasm, but you should check out a forum called codforum.org.uk there might be some usefull pointers on there. I am afraid the franchise you have bought into doesn't have the best reputation

Might be worth a try advertising on ebay, when I was a courier I got some work from there, Might pay to have a look at boxby too (she is on here somewhere) also try a site called shiply (I will try to find a link for you). You may need to add some services to your existing round. Also try a site called gtmuk, there are a lot of couriers on there that might be able to help.

i used to own a fastway franchise aswell there australian style selling techniques dont work people dont like to be hassled 5 or six times.

As per other post you should really look at Shiply.com. They are getting loads of great press coverage at the moment, particularly in light of the postal strike.

Also, you might try the Courier Exchange Networks..but my understanding of Fastway. is .its a multi-drop format within a localised area..
