Hello - Behavioural Profiling anyone?

Simon Burgess

Hello, my name is Simon Burgess and I have recently set up a new business called Think... I am a former Director of a recruitment organisation and was also the National Training Manager for Specsavers Opticians and Vision Express.

Other than bespoke training and development, I have a tool called 'Discus' which is a fantastic behavioural profiler indicating how a candidate is likely to behave in a new job situation. It is ideal for recruitment organisations or businesses wishing to understand their people more effectively. Quite simply, it gets behind the mask that people wear when at work. For some people, what you see is what you get and for others, they change their behaviour... how can we use this to our advantage... well, if John Sample was an analytical type of person who was driven by rules, procedures and detail, how would you sell to him? Of course, you would have all the facts and figures. We are all different and DISC analysis the differences in people.

It is very difficult to describe all of what I do as an introduction, but if anyone is interested, contact me through my home email: [email protected].

Thank you

Hi Simon, I am into all things behavioural and there may be scope for discussion here. I also wonder if you could help me with some guidance ... I have recently undertaken a free analysis with Thomas International and am preparing to feedback to the individual that completed it but need some refreshing on the principles behind the report so it makes more sense to them. Can you help with a simple explanation for me? I'd be grateful ... best of luck by the way - Neil
