Hi, I'd really appreciate any advice. I've spent since November creating a new website for our Primary School and it's hosted free by Jamroll.net, I'm not very technically experienced so have found cpanel really easy to use. I had an email this morning from Jamroll saying that they will cease hosting on 12th Feb and I need to find an alternative.

So... I need to know how to keep my existing website (with cpanel) but change the host to preferably free with no ads (incase the put something inappropriate on it). Does anyone have an idiots guide to how to do this????

Huge thanks in advance!! :)

Yes, they are really happy with it. The problem is they can get hosting through the education dept but obviously I'm only used to working with cpanel so it's me being awkward really. I haven't mentioned anything to them about the problems as I was hoping to find a solution and just swap it over.

Thanks Roj, I'll take a look through those, do you know how I actually keep all my information - do I have to redo my site or will it already be on the cpanel of the new hosting account? Sorry for being dim, it's just sooo confusing! :(

Hi Bubblerock,

To transfer the site you should be able to do a ftp download from your old host and then ftp upload to your new host. That is providing you built your site yourself and not with an online site builder.
If you are considering paying for hosting there is plenty of choice out there and you need not pay more than £50 per year. If this is what you need let me know or take a look at my site www.syteccomputers.co.uk
