Best way to advertise a new online business

Hi guys,

Started an online business a few months ago selling artwork. The website was completed a few days ago and so we are now wondering how best to start advertising.
We have used google adwords, looking into SEO and we have begun to blog on the internet to get our name out.
We have a small advertising budget, any ideas on how best to blog or advertise?

I like the website, I would strongly reccommend the advice of a good SEO, as without this your website will stay pretty static.

After a quick 2 minute look, your website has a number of errors, including a distinct lack of any content, canonicalisation and does not make use of rewritten URL's, which is not surprising considering it is a ASP website.

how about buying mailing lists, and using a mailing management software (i.e. mailListController) to push your newsletters out.. It is a good way to attract traffic to your site, depending on the accuracy of the list data..

I would second the suggestion of email marketing in the form of a newsletter to existing customers and people that want to subscribe (Should be offered on front page of your site)

I would also suggest thinking about your social media strategy. Twitter, Facebook, Xing, LinkedIn, Ecademy and of course my own site are all good examples of places to create good links to your website. Happy to advise on best strategy, there are however tons of good articles on using the above effectively.

Online advertising could include: posting articles on ezinearticles.com or searchwarp.com or creating a blog using blogger.com. Offline could be for example, public speaking, i.e. giving free talks, presentations (without selling anything) at networking meetings/fairs/exhibitions where your target customers will be attending. Public relations: writing press releases for TV, radio, newspapers.

is good v easy to use but is far from being SEO friendly. i would make pictures bigger and improve make your own art section with examples.

i am actually doing my chillout room up so might make a purchase as the prices seem low for handpained.
