Selling a website

Hey all

I am selling a website and I want to know how to value it. It generates between £500 - £1000 net profit per month and is practically fully managed.

It has a large customer database and also repeat orders.

Any help would be much appreciated.

site point market place is a great start. What site is it? How much you looking for and what details/stats can you provide? Most people on sitepoint will ask for stats.

The distinctions betwen 'revenue-producing website' and 'business' are disappearing.

I may suggest that when valuing any established business, potential buyers should take into their consideration the cost of starting such business from zero and growing it to it current status... that's a lot of money, effort and time investment that needs to be remembered during the valuation process. Websites are no different..

what does the web site sell please? does it run by its self or do you put alot of hours on the site? We are interested in buying businesses that are fairly self sufficent.
