The great and the good of the software industry gathered in central London last night to find out who members of UK Business Forums and Sift Media's other websites have voted the best business software of 2008.

More than 300 people enjoyed the fantastic surroundings of The Brewery to hear the results. Entertained by gueat speaker David Mellor, many partygoers will be nursing sore heads after the celebrations lasted into the wee small hours.

More than 5,600 people, doubled that of 2007, participated in this year's Software Satisfaction Awards survey covering 19 categories of accounting and finance, HR and customer management applications. So just who were the lucky winners?
