If I prepare food and then sell it on for private functions, business dinners etc and once registered for VAT what can I claim vat back on?

Any information greatfully received - I'm new to the game and still learning! ta

I am not 100% sure at all but:

99% of food you buy is zero V.A.T.

When you make something from it and sell it, you add VAT so therefore you would reclaim nothing, the business buying your service would reclaim it, you would just pay VAT that you have charged people.

The link is just to show what you should pay vat on and what not purely when buying food.
