What cart/CMS does this?

    OK, here is what I need:
    1. One site, with the flexibility of a CMS
    2. Customers can purchase the same items from one of 2 locations
    3. One location is Europe, the other is China
    4. For Europe, the base price will be GBP or € and will include VAT (and duty)
    5. For China, the base price will be US$ and be 'as is'
    6. I would like customers to settle the transaction in any currency they like
    7. Only one location can be used per transaction
    8. Shipping options will differ per location as probably will payment terms.
    I have looked at all open source carts and cannot find one that offers what seems to be a multi store feature, which is what i guess this is. Magento is almost there, with multi store, but does not deliver!

    I have a funny feeling that I will end up using a CMS like joomla and then use a wrapper to show one of two OSC based carts.

    I have no issues about using different db's, but would prefer all to be shared on one.

    I am not looking for a bespoke system, but may consider a proprietry one, like X-Cart, if it does the job!

    What do you guys think?

    Or 2 separate shops can be set up.

    The only fly in the ointment potentially is the merchant accont provider or gateway. For instance, with Paypal I don't think you can pay in $US if you are in Germany. It would have to be Euros, and so forth. Which contradicts your wish for anyone to be able to pay in any currency.

    I think this will be the eventual solution, however, if running off of 1 db, surely there are 'master' settings that are set, such as shipping, base currency etc. However, this would allow a central customer db.
    Or 2 separate shops can be set up.
    The last thing I want to do, however, it may also be the option!

    I will go to their forums and ask the questions direct!
