Can anyone answer a couple of questions for me.
my current fixed term contract is due to end at the end of July (5 weeks away). The contract expresses 2 months notice on either side.
I have not been given notice, nor had the contract extended although my employer says that it is the intention to extend. I would however like to leave at the end of the current contract.
I also have two weeks annual leave left to take.
Do I still have to give the full two months notice even though I will be out of contract? If I hand in a notice letter, effective the end of July, can my employer refuse to let me take my leave and/or can they refuse to pay me holiday pay if I dont work out the full two months?
thanks for any help you can give.
regards
