Merchant Account Help Please

Hello

Can anyone help with this question please,
We have a Natwest Direct Business Banking Account due to the fact that 1 director has a CCJ on their credit record and this basic no frills account was the only business account we could open for our Ltd company business.

On our website we currently accept Nochex and Paypal as a payment method but would like to have a payment method like Worldpay, but do you need a merchant account from your bank that is suitable?

We have tried to apply for a Streamline account but have been told our Natwest account is not suitable, and Natwest will not upgrade our account until Mid 2009 when the credit record is clear.

Any suggestions about other accounts, help, appreciated :)

if you do an online search for merchant accounts you will find a few but usually they will hold your money for 4 weeks before passing it onto you

mettacharge is just one of these but I know there are others too

we have just got the streamline account and they do check everything, twice.

you may wnat to hang on until the ccj is cleared unless you can get whoever placed the ccj record to edit it to shop the debt has been cleared.

it is annoying as I know lots of dodgy people running business with no problems and for others the smallest little thing can cause no end of trouble

Our company has two or three CCJ's...nothing serious and they have been paid or are in the process. They are small, a few hundred in total.

We had one account terminated as we couldn't agree on turnover projections and settlement times. We had a number of chargebacks in a short period, for a number of reasons which are now resolved.

We are applying to the usual suspects. We have an application in to streamline via handepay. We are hoping for short settlement times.

Does anyone know anything about the risk analysis aspect from the merchant providers point of view?

I'm just trying to gauge our chances. PayPal is a no go as they imposed a high rolling reserve.
We are re-launching the company and so I am anxious to apply successfully. I'm just rather anxious about getting approved.
