I started a dedicated hosting monthly contract with a well known hosting company. Due to various problems during the first 48 hours I put in a request for a server image, their control panel says this would be actioned in an hour.
Two days later and having contacted their support I decided to cancel and go elsewhere. I told the support team I was cancelling my account and then actioned this in the control panel also cancelling the Paypal agreement.
The company have contacted me asking for payment of the setup costs and first months service. I have explained the problems I had and said I would, begrudgingly, pay the setup cost but not for the months service as there wasn't any. Their response is pay or you go to collections.
Have I any rights? Maybe I should just pay the full amount as I'm concerned if it goes to colelctions I could end up paying more.
