Imagine your mobile battery is very low. To activate, press the keys *3370# Your mobile will restart with this reserve and the instrument will show a 50% increase in battery. This reserve will get charged when you charge your mobile next time.
 
I saw this on a Nokia site

*3370# This Nokia code activates Enhanced Full Rate Codec (EFR) - Your Nokia cell phone uses the best sound quality but talk time is reduced my approx. 5%

That is interesting, and I will try it out next time I forget to charge my mobile.

I am always getting caught out myself.

any tips on getting a reception, I have zilch where I live ???? Love Fuzzy:D

I dont know about land lines or this, just amazed me, little Miss Sceptical me and wow it worked.

Someone emailed this stuff to me a while back....

Nokia phones service codes


*#0000# - SW version

*#06# - IMEI

*3370# - Enhanced Full Rate ON

#3370# - OFF

*4720# - alternative sound quality codec ON

#4720# - OFF (on some phones this is *#4720#)

*#7780# - default factory settings

*#7760# - production serial no.

*#2820# - Bluetooth info.

*#73# - reset phone timers and game scores.

What this trick is doing is reducing the current consumption of the phone and thus allowing a given charge to work longer... It's actually #3370# you want to turn OFF the EFR and gain from the EFR.

The alternative sound quality codec listed above supposedly gives you 30% more talk time....

Of course I've never tried any of this (other than the IMEI access code) as I have Sonim, Ericsson and Motorolla phones. 'er indoors has a Nokia though! I could try wrecking that by randomly typing in some half-understood service code gleaned from an email or an internet site....;)
