As well as being a time of celebration, Christmas can also be pretty stressful for business owners so what are your top tips for dealing with the festive season? Is rewarding staff with a Christmas do your key priority or is maximising sales at the busiest time of the year your main concern? What about securing your office during the festive downtime and do you spend time sending festive greetings to customers and clients?

My tips for Christmas, but also the rest of the year are :

1. Christmas can be used as an excuse to pay late, keep on top of your Debtors.

2. Decisions and Christmas tend not to go together, so prepare your sales closing appointments for the New Year.

3. Look after your key customers and suppliers, send an email, card or if business is good, a small present with your company name on it.

4. Thank your customers and suppliers for their business / supplies over the last year, cheesy but it works!

5. Think of your local charity and maybe make a small donation, give something back to your community.

Enjoy Xmas and watch the breathalizer.
