Use a broker, they'll do the legwork for you. I've used these people for a number of years and found them good:-

I think they are quite big now, but I've always had the same account manager.

We use a crowd called Desmond Cheers Insurance. The guy is Mike Ambrose and they are fairly straight shooters.
