Gotum

Hi all just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. I'm a veteran business development specialist with 25 years experience.

Been in advertising and marketing all my life.

Got some very HOT skills in search engine optimization that usually puts me ahead of the bunch and I'm proud to say so :p

Just started yet another jewellery company infinetti.com after selling my USA company in the pharmacy industry. I know; big change but to tell you the truth I didn't know anything about pharmacy and still had a successful business. Isn't the internet amazing

Now I'm not here to promote, there are easier ways to do that these days. I want to chat and get back in touch with the UK market as I've been away for 17 years.

Look forward to getting to know you over the coming months.

If you need any advice please flip an email and I'll be happy to chat. Time is on my side 'at the moment'.

Jane Welcome! I could do with some of your web experience![/quote said:
Here's something to be going on with

Your ranked 590.000 up 500.000 in the last 3 months. Your reach is up 180%. So it looks like you've been busy

I looked at your basic meta's and current Google / Yahoo ranking for your 'chosen' key phrase 'Business Mums' which your in the number 4 position on Google and number 2 on Yahoo.

Here's the most popular searched 'business' terms per day;
business insurance 6,579.5 /day

business 4,580.2 /day

broadband bt business compare find price 2,725.0/day

business printer 2,188.7 /day

business start up 2,086.4 /day

business opportunity 1,668.9 /day

business loan 1,207.1 /day

business property 1,067.4 /day

business consultant 1,067.1 /day

business card 1,060.1 /day

business finance 956.5 /day

business sale 912.2 /day

business home 877.8 /day

business software 777.2 /day

business plan 773.8 /day

business travel 761.7 /day

advice business 727.2 /day

based business home 713.0 /day

I suggest you create some depth based on these. Women search the same way men do surprisingly. And if I was you; I would target 'business' as my main keyword / phrase for the top of the search engines.

I know everyone's saying "Is he kidding; do you know hard it is blah blah blah".

Search 'engagement rings' on google or yahoo I'm both Novori and loveti.co.uk. Believe me it's not quite as hard as people think  No spamming needed! Takes time and a dedication to deliver 'valued' content; and a few small structure changes.
I also did the same in the pharmacy business which is considered the hardest nut to crack.

Your basic business model seems sound and you have 149 members on your community which is not bad for the time you've been working it.

HERE's THE KICKER
The internet is like any other business model and I've had a few; and made more household names than I care to boast about.

But duplication is the key. Imagine someone opens a mall (shopping centre, been away too long) and you pay for a store front and fill it with your products. Now the mall gets 100,000 customers a week passing by; 2% are actually looking for what you offer and 1% decides what you're offering looks kinda cool. Of all the people (3000) who walk through your door (even if they are looking for what your offering) only 5% on a good week will buy; (150 sales time your mark-up minus your rent and overheads = lame). Not surprising so few retail stores make it these days.

So you figure you'll multiply your income and open another store. The biggest thing to happen to retail before the internet was franchising. The main reason it works is the same reason duplication works on the internet. EXPOSURE with exposure comes credibility; increasing sales and corporate revenues. Risk factor is reduced and although the margins are less the volume more than makes up for it.

OK this is getting long. If you really want to know more say. NICE :p tell me more

Do you do any kind of Pay on perfomance, or profit share work?

Do you do any kind of Pay on perfomance, or profit share work?

What's your proposal?

The most I ever feel justified in charging anyone these day is max £100 as I really just want to be sure they are serious. My friends know me as Mr 50 quid as I always say; "Just give me 50 quid and don't mention it :) "

Let me know what you need. I'm living comfortably ever after these days so the money is always secondary.

Hi Mr 50 Quid

Oh I lurv Infinetti, it speaks right to a girls heart. From a womans perspective may I make one small comment without insulting your intelligence please - as it is white gold I would like to see a darker background, I found myself squinting trying to see the sparklies.

OMG even I can afford £50 may I PM you please.

Infinetti; thank you very much, some great info there! I have a number of similar domain names which I could easily duplicate and link them all back to mumsclub. I already have mumtrepreneur.tv which is actually where mumsclub started, so I'm almost doing it already.
What's your opinion about sub domains? For example if I had websites of say business.mumsclub.co.uk and businessopportunities.mumsclub.co.uk, etc would that be a useful SEO tool, to get me found on a 'business' search?
By the way, a household name is exactly what I'm after!! And I'm pleased you can tell I've been busy, it shows I must be doing something right!
Again, thanks for the info!

Hi Jane
There's a model I use called the 'Star of David' Now I'm not going to reveal how it works here as it could cost me all the hours I spent creating it. But without giving it all away the plan is to decide on your corporate base site and then make it the star. Sub domains are considered to be completely separate sites by search engines as are .info, .edu, .com, .co.uk etc. as long as they are not clones. Most people don't use them well. I suggest you build strong DEEP, RELEVANT content on your sub domains that justify linking to your STAR site. Never simply copy articals from other sites as it will cost you. You can re-write it in your own words.

Blogs have shown themselves to be respected by seach engines and are used agressively by many of the best. This will change soon and could end up costing many who use them now. I tend to stay away from the here-today SEO tricks as the search engines catch up with you later.

But SEO is only a fraction of what makes a successful online business. I will PM you regarding the tools that will make all the difference.

Regards John

Hello and welcome. I am very interested in your replies, you obviously have a wealth of information and wisdom!

Just a little point regarding your website (which I also love btw, *drools* :)) : I couldn't find your address anywhere. It is a UK requirement according to the Ecommerce regulations, and I think it would increase credibility especially with high value products such as yours.

I look forward to reading more of your posts,

Kind regards
Sharon

John, again, I thank you. I picture it as having supporting sites building the foundations of the main. I love this sort of thing, I feel the same way about marketing - figuring out the best way to get to your market, but I'm learning it's the same with the search engines! I look forward to hearing more.

Not on Page1 when I did a search on google ....
Looks like loveti.co.uk has a good chance of achieving a Page1 listing for the search term in question - subject to relative improvements in anchor text links I suspect .... but I would think that novori lacks the credentials to be a top10 contender for quite some time yet.

Hi RickB

Nice to know you're checking. I haven't been with Novori for 2 years although I used search engines ONLY to build a million dollar business in just one year. Millions enough for me in one year. Who needs credentials! ;)
Like to chat with you some more as it looks like you have your finger on 'a' pulse.

The internets about results. Stats won't help you if you're going down for the third time. It really is the only place that you can see results the minute you make the RIGHT changes. So there really is no pulling the wool over anyones eyes which I love. And to anyone who is being told "That will cost a lot" and "It takes time". The internet changes so fast these days that if it takes too much time it may not be worth waiting for and if it costs too much you simply don't know where to look.

After three heart attacks and having 7 children and 3 marrages I'm enjoying revealing the secrets as it will be nice to see what will happen when motivated newbies get their hands on the SOURCE. Scares the hell out of the exploiters though ;)

Exciting times!!

This is a women's touch and they often get the last word :)

Infinetti - Welcome to the forum. Nice website and some strong advice you have there. We are totally revamping our site. The only thing that will stay is our logo and our contact address. From then on, I will look for someone to help with SEO. For an expert like you - £50 - will really help! Will PM you later. I also like your approach to using SEO tactics of tomorrow and not present.

Thanks

Kay

Hi Infinetti

I may be in need of your SEO expertise like everybody may i PM you for advice etc . I have used various outsource companies in the past who have all promised No 1 on every search engine etc etc. but most tend to just ask for more and more money without showing much results.
