Van auctions?

Hello,

I need to buy a new van for my company. I don't want to spend a lot - circa the £1000 bracket - just a bog standard LWB transit or something. Probably about 8 to 10 years old.

A friend of mine suggested looking into auctions - and specially the Customs and Excise auctions. Seems like something worth investigating to get a bargain, but I can't find anything on the web.

Does anyone know of any sources of information/location for these types of things? I'm based in Kent, but willing to travel.

These guys are the big players, website is a bit of a monster and tricky to navigate, but it is all there. There are a couple of auctions every week local to us.

wow, that sounds like a good idea. I've been thinking about the need for a van for my business in the near future - you can get a surprising amount in a two seater Smart car, including my therapy couch, but try as I might, I can't fit 2 four foot gongs in there!

Where are the Kent auctions? That might help me find them on the site!

Work your way down the box on the right, making selections from the box on the left, it will tell you what stock is at the next auction, eventually. It does take some getting used to.
