Hi,

I have a website that uses WorldPay for it's payments. I'd like to offer the public a credit card order phone line to order on.

When I first though about this, I thought it would be easy - they phone up, I goto my website, buy what they want and go through the checkout process pretending to be them by asking for all the necessary information on the way.

What has occurred to me is what will Worldpay do when they notice there have been several hundred different credit card purchases from different postal addresses all submitted from the same IP address ?

I could possible access my site through one of those IP address anonymizers but I'd have to find one that deals out UK addresses.

What's the proper way to do this ?

Thanks,

TP

You are right, it does. However, it'll cost £100 and using it won't generate the same email from the shopping cart we use as a pick list.

I guess we'll have to pay the £100 and adapt out system.

Many Thanks,

TP

Can anyone recommend on-line payment provider that allows you you to process mail and telephone transaction.. (virtual terminal) that doesn't charge massive registration fees?
I would be grateful for any recommendations!!

Thanks for the reply!
I have used paypal before and they have been an absolute nightmare, froze my account 3 times for no valid reason what so ever.

we always sell by bank transfer and Western Union as payment and we sell well in the last several years. for the paypal, the processing fee is too high , it is not suitable for a wholesaler who sell expensive things like mobile phone, DVD players and USB flash disks. our website is salethebest.com if you are looking for these products, this is a good supplier for you.

Have you looked at SecureTrading? Their system is seriously easy to set up, and the customer service is top-notch. Worth checking out. :)

Hi, I would like to warn anyone that's thinking of using a company called transx.co.uk!!
They are a complete rip off and and are trading fraudulently as the are not registered with the financial authorities and have no track record what so ever.
their customer service department is non existent and also owe me over £2000.
CAN ANYONE RECOMMEND A PAYMENT PROVIDER THAT DOESN'T CHARGE A FORTUNE IN REGISTRATION FEES AND DOESN'T TAKE WEEKS TO SET UP?
I have come across a company called patraSys which seem o.k but their registration site seems to be down?
I would be grateful for any recommendations!

I wasn't charged £100 to use the virtual facility for worldpay? I only stopped using earlier this year as I COMBINED WORDLPAY with streamline and now do telephone transactions in the shop on our terminal there.

Thanks, I have been in touch with Worlpay but they also asked me for a £120 set up fee and take up to 14 days for the account to be live.
As I currently have no Merchant account in place I require something that is more or lest set up straight away, that's if there is anything of this kind available in the UK.
I am aware there many companies in the US that set up merchant accounts instantly but am a bit wary of them as they are on the other side of the Planet.
I would appreciate all recommendations!
