Any recommendations?

Our current insurers (Norwich Union) have increased our premium by almost 57% and there has been no change in our circumstances!

From two years ago before life with money started, my previous existence meant vans and insurance, and at that time we found Norwich Union to be the most competitive, have been for years .... but things do change!

I do know that vehicle insurance has increased this year for the simple reason that they are taking a lot of hits!

Last year our premium with Norwich Union was £600.89, and this year it will be a whopping £942.41.

I have been online requesting quotes and the cheapest up to now (eVan insurance) is £430.86...some difference!

Yep sure is .... I have just got a quote for 3rd party for my eldest ... I nearly cried!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Matt1959,

They are part of e-Van insurance.

I must also add that the quote that I received from them (£430.86) was with a zero excess, as opposed to a £150.00 excess with Norwich Union!

Looks like NU have had a hit (excuse the pun) on vans this year and so base premiums have gone up. Nothing personal to you i'm sure.

I use gladiator commercial who are part of the admiral group, work out quite good value. Considering im out all hours of the day and night so my 53 plate primastar is £ 500.
