Hello there,
I stumbled across this forum while doing some research and it seems like a good place to ask for help !!
I have a small LTD which was made up in april 2003, a 1 man band IT consultancy (mostly abroad in Europe). I emit about 15-20 invoices per year, am not VAT registered, have no employees just subcontractors and have sterling and euro bank accounts.
Due to a mix up with the company used to create the company (an online system), some meddling by me on Companies House online system, and my extreme naivety, the Inland Revenue had the wrong address and I've been toddling along without sending in any tax returns or paying any company tax....
So I now have 2 weeks to hand in CT600 returns for 2003-2004 and 2004-2005, otherwhise I may as well just shut up shop (county court proceedings with estimated tax : way over what I expect I should pay)
To make matters worse, I don't have an accountant and am abroad at the moment.
Could anyone advise me as to the following questions :
- is it possible to do the returns myself ? (I have zero accounting knowledge)
- is there an accountant out there who could do this in the time delay ?
Any help or advice would be gratefully received.
Regards,
Steve
