Selling insurance as a self-employed agent

Hi, I have been offered a position with an insurance company selling life insurance both to home owners and business owners. Had a few questions id like answered and thought that this would be the best place to ask so hopefully someone will know what I'm looking for. The company has asked that i come up with a business plan on how I would go about getting customers into my dairy. What I'd like to know is what are the legal implications in contacting customers or how do I source out new customers.

you are not allowed to cold call under FSA regulations so you may struggle somewhat. If you dont have a client bank and they are not offering you say an orphan client bank ( clients on their books not allocated to an adviser ) then I think you will be doing a lot of work before making much out of it. I wouldnt do it.
