Hello,

Can anyone recommend an instant site builder like 123-reg?

I need one that I can use to create a fairly nice looking website with a payment cart (Paypal), Email, Script Editor, around 50 pages and be able to use to upload infomation to froogle.

Whart would you suggest?

Cheers,

Matthew:)

Why not creating something individual? This must not necessary mean high costs. ;)

Hi there,

I am by no means an expert on this but I recently invested in Mr Site. Its an instant site builder and costs £35 and is available from Borders bookshop and online.

I was impressed by the sites I seen that had been built using it.

I've just started building my site and so far I'm finding it easy enough to use and I'm happy with the results.

For a straight forward site it works well and you can include things like pay pal and have your site up and running quickly. However, if you want something flasher you will have to spend a bit more time on it.

I'd recommend you have a look at my site but I'm not quite ready for it to go live yet.

However put mrsite into google and you'll come across it.

Hope this is helpful

Mr Site is a very nice product, and the price is ideal for people making a first website.... One thing it doesn't deal with (as far as we've been able to tell) is the whole website accessibility issue. Sites created with it tend to fail most of the usual "validation checks", and most are built using tables with little use of content/design seperation with css.

So for companies where accessibility compliance is an issue, Mr Site may not be the best choice for you. That said - I'm not knocking it - they've done a great job producing a good product, and their marketing and sales strategy is first class!!!

oscommerce is free but looks very dull tbh

your better off learning yourself how to edit webpages etc or get someone to do it, it will pay off, your website design is the most important if your looking to attract the most customers

The basic standard template is very dull.

BUT

Once you know how to edit oscommerce there is nothing u can't do.

I could show you 100s of great sites which use oscommerce, with a little bit of customization you can have oscommerce running just as good as any pcworld , dixons or any other leading online store.
