I love Vodafone!

I've had a nightmare week, dealing witg a couple of seperate issues and having to deal with big companies from BT to Bulldog and Microsoft and Carphone Warehouse/TalkTalk.

All have been absolute nightmares to deal with, mainly due to ignorant staff and stupid telephone systems ("press 1 for..")... or should that be the other way around?

If all companies were like Vodafone - one number to call, answered within 10 seconds by a helpful human - then I'd have much less grey hair.

My company mobile contracts are up for renewal at the end of this year. I don't care if they're not the cheapest - I'm staying with vodafone.

I love vodafone.

I think that they're very unaware of the pitfalls. It's all well and good sacking her for theft as long as the companies processes are well thought out and fair and they have really good evidence. Somebodies word is just not enough. He will get accused of sex discrimintion for sure if he's not carefull.

Ahh powergen, the company who love to send out final demands without having sent you a bill in the first place.

Hate em

I can go one better than that. Open and Direct (retail credit company).

They took too much money from my account so they actually owed ME money. I cancelled the direct debit so they couldn't do it again and they sent me a letter saying they were charging me £30 for cancellingm y direct debit and I had to pay the arrears of £0.00 within 14 days.

I wonder if they'll take a cheque.

My problem with Powergen is that today I have discovered why I have not had a bill for 4 months. Someone else is paying it! The meters are mixed up! I am apartment 5 but my meter is number 6. Apartment 6 is paying my bill but someone is paying for apartment 6...list goes on!

Partly the builders fault! Oh I hate the Council too. Just got a formal notice that the valuation list is being amended and our apartment is now Band C!!

I've been with Vodaphone for 3 years now, and although having explored other options, was more than satisfied to remain with Vodaphone. I agree also with the customer service aspect; they obtained a specific number for me within 24 hours and did not even charge a fee!

I love Vodafone too!

Having spent far to much recently on data calls through my 3G mobile phone, I now have a 3G data card fitted to my laptop that will give me UNLIMITED 3G data for £26 a month. If you connect a regular contract 3G phone to the internet that is probably the equivalent of about 5 minutes a day.

Its funny often in PC World, Dixons etc you often see spotty kids selling laptops to Joe public telling the about the wonders of wi-fi. You here phrases like "data on the move", "wireless internet connection" etc. A lot of these people walk out of these stores honestly believing that they can switch their laptops on ANYWHERE and have a signal. I would guess that 90% off wireless laptops bought by Joe Public are only used wirelessly in their own homes or possibly the homes of friends / family etc. The spotty kids don't tell them that currently the only way to get a wireless connection for 99.9% of the locations in the UK is to use the mobile phone network and even that, of course, is dependant on coverage.

Anyway, getting back to Vodafone, I have to agree their customer service is excellent. In fact, since I bought my first digital mobile around 10 years ago, they are the only mobile company I have used (although I keep renewing my contract just to keep them on their toes!).

Im gonna be different here.

I have a company contract with Vodafone an so far they have treated us appalingly.

It took nearly 6 months to get our phones ported over and one of them was already a vodafone!! They then tried to cancel our brand new contract and charged us £200 for the pleasure. We have only just got this credited.

They didnt really get it when we phoned and asked why on earth would we want to cancel a contract that we havnt even started yet??

We will stick with them in the hope that this was all just a lot of bad luck.

fingers crossed!

Andy.

Have been with Orange for 9 years now, apparently they have overtaken Vodafone as top performing for network coverage and reception. Apart froma slightly increased wait time to contact customer service, I am very happy with Orange, they are very obliging, now i've changed to unlimited text tariff my bill will not be £165 a month.

Hi!

As a mobile agent it's only right for me to chip in!

Over the past 4 years I have personally been with Vodafone, Orange, O2 and T-Mobile and I have to say there isn't one network I would suggest for customer service as they are all relatively the same. It really just depends on the person on the end of the phone. All have their own problem periods, where phones go unanswered etc but it all evens out.

As for anyone thinking of changing contracts and handsets, drop me a line if you would like a quote or any help in choosing the best services and phones for you. We also specialise in Blackberry's and Data Cards so if you're interested, you know where to come!

Hi Duane

Thanks for the post.

It really depends on that particular month, i.e. what offers they have availbale on upgrade etc and also how Vodafone rate you as a customer (they offer a bigger discount if you spend more money with them than others.

Let me know when you expect to upgrade and I will certainly try my best to get your the better deal!
