Poor Worldpay was unable to provide test account to system integrator!

My company provide ecommer store to SMEs, and have integrated Worldpay to our software. In order to test the integration and its callback function are working properly, I have recently contacted Worldpay's sales team to setup a test account.

I was told setting up a test account is a manual process and there is a cost associated with the setup. Therefore, the sale rep refuse to setup a test account. I also asked if he can test our integration for us if he cannot create test account for us, but was ignored.

I then send an email to their complaint department in the hope the management will look into this, but to my surprise, the same sales rep replied me saying they cannot setup test account. How can the complaint department and the sales team can be from the same bunch of people?? There is no complaint department after all!

How can an e-shop provider like us offer our clients an untested payment solution? Payment integration has to be secure and fully tested. We have PayPal, Sage Pay, Cardsave, Google Checkout, Moneybookers, Nochex etc integrated and everyone of them have dedicated team to help system integrator to properly integrated their payment solution and really helpful.

I don't think Worldpay is worth pursuing by any system integrator or online seller, considering your complaint will never actually get a proper attention. We hosted over 400 ecommerce stores and if we offer Worldpay to our users, surely they will benefit from our referral.

All I want is a test account. Simple, but was make complicated. :|

Hi there

We'd love to have you integrate with us - PM us and we'll get in contact to set you up with a free test account.

Best wishes

We had a similar problem with getting support from PayPoint when integrating their payment gateway with our Ecommerce platform.

It may be the person you speak to, I would certainly recommend persisting with Worldpay simply because they are one if not the biggest UK PSP, and their integration is very easy.

Have you integrate Worldpay?

Have you integrate Worldpay?

Yes, it was easy through our Ecommerce platform and we've also integrated it with our own shops before and since. It is the easiest of the PSPs to integrate because it offers a simple forms "post" integration.

Just speak to tech support on the Worldpay number, they can point you in the direction of integration guides (all PSPs have them).

Hi Dave, do you have the callback function integrated? Do you got a test account from them, or you just use you own paying worldpay account for testing, or you never test yours?

We have integrated both the redirection form, and the callback. We just need to test the integration. You don't understand the problem.

Just an update since my last post:
  1. I managed to get hold of the email of WorldPay CEO on Monday and make him aware of the situation we are facing. Within 24 hours, I got my test account! :) After testing and bug fixing, we are now offically offering WorldPay to our customers.
  2. Thanks to the help from Simon of Total Web Solutions and his team, we have also integrated and tested their payment gateway.

Thank you for completing the integration so quickly Adrian, we are very impressed with the time taken and of course the cart.

Just to confirm, eShop-Systems / Store2Go users can now choose Total Web Solutions as their Payment Gateway and enjoy lower monthly fees and excellent customer service & support.
