Anyone else having problems online this afternoon?

I can't get onto google.com, google.co.uk, yahoo.co.uk, realarcade.com and amazon.co.uk wasn't displaying properly earlier yet many of my normal sites, including UKBF are working. I get the dreaded "Firefox can't find the server at" and the same sort of thing in IE.

Any suggestions?

It sounds like an NTL problem, we can confirm it though if you want.....

Click start, click run

type: cmd

hit return, a black box will open up

type: tracert www.google.com

Then copy and past the output to us here, it may take a minute or so to complete.

(right click the black box, choose 'Mark', highlight the text, right click again and choose copy)

Call NTL

Thanks - you clearly haven't tried ringing NTL for any tech support issues but to cut a long story short it's neither easy nor helpful! However you did prompt me to check the online status and found out that there are "Browsing Issues" nationwide since yesterday.

Thanks for your help everyone.

The reason I mentioned it as I thought they had the same thing as blueyonder where upon calling tech the first thing you get is an automated message telling you of any difficulties they are having. With BY they tell you what is happening, where it is happening and when it is going to be fixed. Quite handy as it saves waiting on the phone for hours.
