The PAYE Volunteer Group, formed by Elaine Clark, Managing Director of CheapAccounting.co.uk has scored another victory in their fight to help those affected by the HMRC Underpaid Tax Fiasco.

In their latest case they have received a letter from HMRC confirming that the demand for underpaid tax of £1,647.20 will be written off in full.

The case, which was handled by David Pickin of Farrant Frost, relates to a 65 year old lady in Devon living on a modest income. To make ends meet she tops up her state pension with a small part time.

An ESC A19 was filed for the lady and HMRC agree that the special circumstances do apply.

Elaine Says:

“Well done to David for fighting this case. Another great victory for our group. It seems that HMRC need to think very carefully about these cases now. So hopefully we will be seeing more victories in the other cases that we are handling, all of which are of the same circumstances.”
