Problems submitting CT600 to HMRC

I am trying to submit a CT600 to HMRC for the first time and it is being rejected due to problems with the Capital Allowances section. I am claiming AIA for some plant and machinery bought but when I complete the boxes for the AIA and allowances claimed, It is calculating a negative WDV carried forward. This needs to be zero. The error I am getting says that something has been duplciated yet the allowances are correct for what I am claiming. Any one got any ideas how to resolved this?

Are you using HMRC's software or some third party software?

I'm using HMRC's downloaded Adobe software (if that is the right thing to call it).

Unfortunately I have never actually used HMRC's software myself but does it have somewhere where you have to record the asset costs? If its showing a negative WDV c/f I assume you will need to enter the additions.

I had exactly the same errors when submitting my CT600 this year.
Later I downloaded the file afresh from their web site, and it turned out that they changed something in the file, so that's why the old one didn't let me submit the report.

So just try to download the same file again. I wouldn't advise to call their tech support, as those guys got back to me only three (!) weeks after I reported the problem.
