Hi Keith,
I heard of them and they were recommended to me through a reliable source through a BNI member. I'm actually deciding whether to approach them or not - do you have some good goss? PM me if it's too sensitive for 'public eyes'. (Then I'll post it :twisted: )

As much as I would love to give some gossip, I don't have any. So, I can either make it up, or simply say that their details were given to me. I subsequently received an email shot. Not sure whether to approach them as I don't really have a franchise opportunity, more a new business opportunity.
I have been reading your diary and other mambers comments re setting up a franchise, but I thought I would initially let it grow naturally.

Sensitive subject, Duane. The recommendation came to me via a forum member who is also a BNI member. The forum member knew of my interest in Franchising, and 'casually' referred the info to me.
I guess it's then up to me to either use or disregard the helpful assistance of my fellow esteemed member.
I had the fortune to attend a BNI meeting just last week. From my brief exposure I saw evidence of 'referrals' having been reliable. I accept your theory on the recommendations, but is one going to refer another service 'duty bound' simply for the sake of dropping a name? Not likely, it would only backfire.
Admittedly, the BNI 'charter' seemed rather regimented. I sensed I would feel a great 'accountability' to perform, by way of tendering referrals in subsequent weeks. I also sensed that I could receive more out of it than I could offer, which would be a rather selfish and hypocritical reason for joining. I guess it's a case of 'each to their own.'

with all consultants it pays to meet with them and ask the questions direct. They do seem to have a unique business model so perhaps it is worth a meeting.
