Hi all

I work for small company. It is a Ltd. I started as an accounts assistant/bookkeeper. But my senior is just a volunteer and left the company. I do all the account on Sage 50 and Sage Instant Payroll as well (only 10 employee capacity software).
I prepare the all accounts up to Balance Sheet. I claim the VAT.I report trade debtor / creditor to my boss every month. But company co-tax is handled by accountancy firm and they quaterly or every 2 months come and oversee my work.

Basically I am not assisting anybody now. I sat my last ACCA two paper in June 2010.

My boss ask me "what title I should address you to my debtor and creditor"?

I realy have no idea what title I am at the moment. I started the job as to break the ice to get into the field.

Can anybody give me idea about my title?

Thanks guys.

I guess it's whatever you feel comfortable with when you introduce yourself and whether you consider your job title an important factor. I'm sure we've all heard of people who have the most amazing titles but do a job that is less glitzy...and then s******ed. That said if you are soon to qualify as an accountant then don't undersell yourself either.

Management Accountant or Financial Controller would be fairly common terms used by other firms. They are all going to be recognised and fairly sensible.

Thanks Kontracta. Yes- you are right about that not to undersell myself. That is the reason I am asking the experienced accountants for advice.
Thanks a lot guys.
