I therefore took it upon myself to 'break the ice' so to speak, and possibly stimulate some reaction so poor sublime can once again fit in with us. The question: 'Did you miss me?' as you quite correctly point out, requires a categorical answer and does not invite expansion. Therefore 'Yes' or 'No' is the only means of responding. Had sublime had posed a question as 'Hayles' did recently, 'What have I missed?' the response would be totally different.
