I have just been called by a telemarketing company (annoying as I am on the TPS database).
I asked them right at the start if it was advertising 'No' she says.
then she proceeds to tell me about their website where 'for only ten pounds a week' they will advertise my wares to their members.
what do they think they are going to gain by lying?
do they really believe that they aren't selling advertising or are they just wanting to get a few seconds more with the customer to explain how good their service is?
To me it's just counterproductive. I won't buy from anyone who annoys me or lies to me. So why bother both annoying and lying to me in the first few seconds of the call?
