http://www.quickformations.com/ for 2 company formations and the service has been prompt, reliable and well priced.

I use www.vodahost.com and they are excellent. I tried a few companies out before I joined these guys and I can tell you I am theirs for life :lol[/url]

Huh? You're recommending an American Web Hosting company to a member who expreses interest in registering a company? I don't really grasp the connection :?

My Fault. When they said about registering a company I took it as they want to register their company domain name. If they want to register their company domain name then Vodahost offer that as well as hosting. I didn't read his link properly.

What sort of business will you be doing?

If you are sole trader, you don't need to register anywhere, except with the Tax Man and NI. More info needed, then we can help more.

Have you sought any advice before deciding that the limited company route is definately the way to go. As Jayne suggests you might be better off starting as a sole trader and then incorporating at a later date. Too many times I've seen people form a company, find that the administration of it is too difficult and then have to go through the complication of having the company struck off.

For a new trade you're better of using all your energies building a successful business than worrying about then intricacies of complying with company law.

save yourself a bundle of cash and do it yourself. Companies house are suepr helpful and will walk you through the forms step by step.

spend your start up funds on something more important like marketing or stock.

Hi Pura,
I don't want to set up a mini 'debate' here, but Quickformations cost me under £40.00. Not really a bundle of cash, and in my mind real 'value' if we take into account the time messing round, phone time, completing forms, AND THEN hoping that it's all DONE CORRECTLY. I would rather a bit less stock and know that my company is set up correctly and is SAFE.
