password managers - a good or bad thing ?

I happily used one but heard a tut tut the other day and did not pursue it further.

Anyone got any comments.

Perhaps depends on what you actually use.

If you need to keep a lot of passwords then it's essential to use a secure database. There is no way in which you could remember a large number of them.
