is it possible to offer too much choice?

Hi there all i just have a quick question, i am a large format printer and have been trading since 2005 and im stable but i have been looking around on the web at other companies that are doing the same sort of thing and what im seeing is there are websites where the customer can pick from 100k images,

Now i know where some of the images are being brought from and i just couldn't afford to buy that amount of images with the correct licence to allow me to print them, i have around 250 images that i have the correct licence to allow me to print and i also licence some images from a company in the Us.

Do you suggest i buy stacks more images or just be selective on what i offer.

I really don't believe in just using any royalty free image hence why i don't sell banksy or any film, music stars, car brands etc this could be my down full but my personal thoughts are this breaks many copyrights. but thats not the point of this post so sorry for straying from my point.

so to end is it possible to offer too much choice or not?

Why not include a link to istock where people can then buy the image for a few $$ and then you can print for them.

Or where we can upload our own piccies and you print them off for Xp

Old welsh , not as easy as that as to print it i have to have the rights i believe, and not all images come with print rights option sadly

Hi Shane.

Having done what you do for many years until recently, I understand the problems you face.

The answer is designing them yourself, trust me it is the only profitable way.

HI there Will many thanks for that, i do have some that i have designed well wife did and they sold very well on ebay where i started but people want everything they can get else where and if you dont provide then they go else where. But i will take what you say on board and speak to the wife LOL

Shane, Yes and No..Boredom, new horizons..And a buyer came along too!I do remember you copying my ebay template many years ago though!!!

that was when i 1st started and was a mistake before i knew what copyright was

soon learnt tho
