Hi guys,
I need to renew the AV and firewall software on couple of my PCs. I have had to uninstall Norton on one because I couldn't download my emails from my domain.
What software would everyone recommend? (I am a heavy user of the web and my PC tends to stay online most of it's life.)

Zonelabs Internet Security Suite as well. it does firewall, virus, spy/adware and spam (although I turn the spam filter off).

On a PC at work, I use no AV at all, no anti spyware either.

If it catches a virus, or spyware a reboot sorts it out thanks to a product called Deep Freeze.

Even if a critical file is deleted, a reboot fixes it.

However, if you write doc and save to C: you better save it somewhere else to coz it's gone after a reboot.

The software side of it is virtually unbreakable!

Deep freeze is excellent, but I'd still use AV, what if you got a virus that delete files in your thawed space?
I use symantec corporate AV - came free from the place I used to work, never once had a problem with it.

I have exactly the same problem with Norton, but only after doing a Live Update, and then having to restart the PC.

However, I have now sussed it and simply restore my PC to an earlier time, and then my emails work OK.
